In March, we will discuss how to organize a<span data-is-focusable=\"true\">ccessible residencies for artists <\/span><span data-is-focusable=\"true\">in<\/span> need <span data-is-focusable=\"true\">of<\/span> <span data-is-focusable=\"true\">special<\/span> <span data-is-focusable=\"true\">support<\/span><span data-is-focusable=\"true\">.<\/span><br \/>\n<span data-is-focusable=\"true\"><br \/>\nSpeakers:<br \/>\nMaija<\/span> <span data-is-focusable=\"true\">Karhunen<\/span>, Project Director, Culture for All Service<br \/>\nSirpa <span data-is-focusable=\"true\">Taulu<\/span>, <span data-is-focusable=\"true\">Director<\/span><span data-is-focusable=\"true\">,<\/span> <span data-is-focusable=\"true\">Kettuki<\/span> <span data-is-focusable=\"true\">Association<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-is-focusable=\"true\">Maija<\/span> Karhunen, will talk about her experience in organizing accessible artist residencies. The aim of the project \u201c<em>Making space for artistry \u2013 equity for disabled artists and artists who are Sign Language users<\/em>\u201d is to strengthen the professional opportunities and equity of disabled artists in the art field. They have organized accessible residencies in Tornio and Haparanda<span data-is-focusable=\"true\">.<\/span> The residencies in 2022 were produced in cooperation with the Culture for All service<span data-is-focusable=\"true\">,<\/span> the Aine Art Museum and the cities of Tornio and Haparanda<span data-is-focusable=\"true\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Sirpa Taulu will talk about Kettuki Associations\u2019 cooperation with residency providers and Kettuki&#8217;s role and expertise in supporting the artists facing barriers with their artistic practice.
